

Brawl your way through the desert’s heat
and reach the Great Oasis!
In the center of the desert, two mysterious cactuses awake. Together, driven by their insatiable thirst, they embark on a journey to the great oasis, a bottomless fountain of precious water. Fight yourselves through the heat of the sun during daytime, discover rare water supplies at night and grow new skills in a heated 2 player beat-em-up for Nintendo Switch™!
In this fifth-semester project, two players take on the scorching heat of the desert and have to work together to not dry out.
It was a great challenge to develop for Nintendo Switch. I set up a combo and upgrade system to support all the features the cacti have. Furthermore, the Rumble feature of the Switch was utilized to build a searching mechanic for water hidden in the sand.
After completing that semester I upgraded the systems architecture massively and implemented some new environmental obstacles as well as new UI functionality by myself.
